Origin had the pleasure of working with Colors And Carousel’s on their returning debut single Sunflowers and Daisies. The pop duo gave Origin creative freedom in interpreting the creative direction for the song and on how to break it out into a campaign to reacquaint people with their music after a few year’s hiatus.

Creating the Visuals
The cover art and official video were inspired by the state of the world today and the hope that can be found in tomorrow. Dropped in the midst of the pandemic and emotions at an all time high, it was important to reflect the nostalgic, melancholy feeling that people had and the longing for better days. We embraced this through the introduction of familiar coping mechanisms such as journaling and scrapbooking, while keeping with a soothing, relaxed color palette. The words in the song are sincere and simple, so we kept the imagery raw and imperfect.

Merch with a Message
The merch capsule is a specialty run specific to the release of Sunflowers & Daisies, created with a color system and visual language that complements the official lyric video. Each piece carries a minimalistic approach, focusing on the lyrics and messaging. Bold cutout imagery adds intrigue, while still providing listeners with versatile everyday street styles.
Social Media
We rolled out a cohesive social media campaign, featuring new social banners, reveal graphics, lyric previews and smooth video sneak peeks. Each post shared an encouraging message to promote the song and add some daily cheer to viewer’s feeds.
